Online Dating – How To Choose The Perfect Photo For Your Profile

You must remember that your profile photo is your “introduction” and you want to make a good impression! Choosing the perfect photo for your profile is your perfect opportunity!

If your photo makes a good impression your visitors are more prone to read the rest of your profile and want to know more about you! That is the result you want!

Everyone: The photo on the main page of your profile should be of you and you alone. Save your group photos, the photos of you and your children, you and your pets etc. for another area.

If you have multiple facial piercings please limit them to one in the photo. If you have several ear piercings please limit it to 2 earrings per ear.

Ladies: Tone down the theatrical makeup. Please stay away from jet black eyebrow pencil, mascara, and eyeliner. It doesn’t photograph that well. If you normally do not wear makeup, I suggest you go to your nearest department store’s cosmetic counter. They will show you all you need to know.

If you are not planning on joining a dating site that caters to “gothic”, please stay away from the all black “gothic” look.

Please watch the cleavage. It doesn’t say “sexy”. Instead, it says “cheap”.

Avoid the “big hair”.

If you are over 30, do not wear your daughters makeup. Avoid trendy colors in both makeup and hair colors.

Guys: Please take care of the “uni-brow”, the nose and ear hairs. If you have facial hair please make sure it is neatly trimmed. Do not let your moustache curl into your mouth. If you are unusually hairy, please shave down your neck hair to avoid looking like you are wearing a fur collar!

Once other singles get to know the real you , I don’t care if you wear all 13 earrings and all 9 facial piercings! But give someone an opportunity to get to know you before they judge you!
